In the 1890s, Madam C.J Walker had struggles with hair loss and began to experiment with different methods.
Her methods included her own formula for pomade,much brushing,and the use of hot combs.
In 1910 she went to Indianapolis there she established the headquaters of Madam C.J Walker.
By the time of her death, Madam C.J Walker was sole of her business which was valued more than 1,000,000 dollers.
The reason our lives are better today
Our lives are better today because now lots of people still use these methods and products today.
Also we have a great system for straighting African American hair. Now lots of people have many
ways to choose how they want to striaghten or style their hair because Madam C.J Walker came up with methods
to straighten and oil all types of hair.
